Easy iced doughnuts

20th December 2019

With party season fast approaching and hosting on the agenda..it can often feel overwhelming; with Christmas lists to go through, gifts to purchase, getting those decorations up and preparing yummy treats to serve to guests!

With Decembers edition of Cake Bag, there are a few items that you can use to decorate some sweet delights that don’t have to take hours to make!

With an array of stencils, plunger cutters, an impression mat, glitter flakes and sprinkles included, you can whip up some festive treats in no time!

And if you don’t want to switch the oven on…why not purchase some plain cakes or doughnuts and decorate them using a couple of products from the Winterland edition?

These are also a fun way to entertain the kids and require only a couple of items to create!

All you need are some plain doughnuts (I picked up a box from my local supermarket).

Some white chocolate melted in a squeezey bottle – you can purchase chocolate drip or pop some chopped white chocolate in a bottle, then pop in the microwave in 20 second intervals until melted.

When it’s ready; squeeze the chocolate over the top of the doughnuts until the tops of the doughnuts are covered.

Grab the pot of blue glitter flakes from PME and sprinkle over the surface of the chocolate covered doughnuts.

Then decorate with the cute Sprinkles from SPRINKLY! I arranged around one edge of the doughnuts.

These would be perfect if you are throwing any Frozen themed parties too. They would look beautiful as part of a winter themed treat table!

I love the selection of sprinkles in this mix too!

We hope this easy tutorial inspires you to get creative in the kitchen during Christmas!

We also love seeing what you create using the items from your Cake Bags – don’t forget to share your cakes and bakes with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the #cakebagcreations tag!

Happy Baking!
