Jem Lacy Leaves tutorial

If you want to create pretty leaves to decorate your Autumn themed cakes then you’re in luck if you signed up for Octobers Autumn Glam Cake Bag as some of the items included is this Lacy Leaves cutter from JEM & light rose gold lustre dust by Squires Kitchen.




The cutter is so easy to use in a couple of ways; you can use it on thicker sugar modelling paste to imprint the design onto the surface and then use an X-Acto knife to cut out the leaves:




Or you can roll out the sugar paste really thin and make lacy leaves. You’ll need a knife to remove the middles of the leaves.


Use the rose gold lustre dust with a fluffy brush to dust over dry or mix with a little white alcohol (I use vodka) to give a deeper and more intense colour.



Place the leaves on a wave drying rack to create a natural curved shape to the leaves.



Once dried and set you can use them to decorate your Autumn or woodland themed bakes!
