May Cake bag – Chocolate hearts

28th May 2018

How lovely was the Royal Wedding?! I can’t believe it’s been just over a week since we finally saw the beautiful bride walk down the aisle to a rather nervous looking Prince Harry!

Now…that doesn’t mean we can’t carry on using the contents of our May cake bags! You may have your own wedding coming up or helping a member of your family or friend to plan their big day! So I’ve come up with an easy recipe using the pretty heart sprinkles by PME, that were included in the Royal Wedding edition; to make some cute chocolate heart candies.

All you need to make these chocolate are:
– a silicone heart mould
– 150g dark chocolate
– 150g milk chocolate
– PME heart sprinkles

1) Break up the chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water or pop in the microwave and melt in 20 second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted.

2) Take your silicone heart mould and pop some of the heart sprinkles in the bottom of each cavity.

3) Use a small spoon to pour the melted chocolate into each heart until completely full

4) Place in the freezer until set. This should only take about half an hour. Then remove from the freezer and pop the heart chocolates out of the moulds

These are perfect for wedding favours; wrapped in little cellophone bags tied with ribbon!

You could even add them to your sweet or dessert buffet table!

We hope you are enjoying the contents of May’s Cake Bag! Don’t forget to share your creations with us on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter using the hashtag #cakebagcreations. It’s great to see what ideas you come up with for all your baking creations!
